Cleaning With Kids.

Last night the hubs took the kids over to grandmas house for an hour. In that hour I managed to take down all of our Christmas decorations, do the dishes, clean up my room, and clean the boys room. Usually Aiden is in charge of cleaning the boys room but Hudson had dumped out all his dresser drawers yesterday and its not really Aiden's job to clean up after the tiny tornado.

Fast forward to today. I have been cleaning ALL day and haven't accomplished half of what I did in an hour last night. I did find a dollar behind the couch today though. Big fat Dr. Pepper time!

Welcome to my life...

I have seriously neglected my blog... and the truth is the more time I went without blogging the more I convinced myself that I really shouldn't blog. My house is almost never perfectly clean (and if it appears clean chances are my bedroom is going to be full of junk that doesn't belong there), 90% of the time I am in sweat pants with my hair in a pony tail and no make up on, day to day tasks stress me out (who really has time to do laundry?!), I am not really an expert on anything, sometimes my kids are so difficult I want to put them to bed at noon, candy cane Hershey kisses will probably be the death of me (or at least my clean eating plans), and while I am writing this my kids are probably destroying their playroom.

So what could I possibly have to say that could be helpful to others? I am still not sure. What I do know is that I am and will always be my own toughest critic. Sometimes I should really just give myself a break and enjoy the chaos of having a family because one day I will look back and truly miss it all (laundry piles included)  So stick around and read the tales of my perfectly imperfect life.

M.I.A.

This week has been insane and exhausting. Every single day has been so full of things to do that I have seriously neglected blogging. In addition to everything that has been going on I also have a cold that will not go away. Seriously it has been almost two weeks now. Luckily my hubby has been great at picking up my slack with the kids. I cant wait for the time change because I don't know about you but I could use the extra hour of sleep! Over the next couple days I will be posting all of our Halloween fun and some fall decorating ideas. You know just for the 2 people who read my blog. ☺ Thanks Mom... haha.

Fall Bucket List

Fall is definitely here and I want my family to be able to make the most of it!
I made a bucket list so we can enjoy every second of the season.
I printed and put our bucket list in a picture frame. When we have completed an item from our list the kids can use a dry erase marker to mark it off. I cant wait for all the memories my family will be making this fall.
Feel free to use our fall bucket list for your family.

Fall Leaves

There is something so refreshing about the seasons changing. I love fall. The colors are beautiful, the clothes are cozy, and the food is delicious.
Last weekend my hubby decided it was time to rake up some of the leaves that had been gathering in our yard. Whenever he rakes he always makes sure to make a least one pile of leaves for the kids to play in. I love taking pictures of the kids playing in the leaves. It has become a tradition that I look forward to every year.

Aiden's Spooky 6th Birthday

Over the weekend Aiden turned 6... I can't believe that I just said that! The last six years have flown by. How did my baby become a big boy?

When I first started planning his party he decided he was going to have a dragon party. Which changed into a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle party and then into a spooky themed party. Spooky themed party in October? Yes please!

Most of the decorations I was able to find at the dollar store and everything else was stuff that I already had.

 Aiden's Spooky Punch

 Mummy Cupcakes
I have seen these all over Pinterest and decided to make one. Aiden loved it and insisted that we keep it out until after Halloween

The Birthday boy opening presents.

I found the eyes at the dollar store and just put them in a jar with food coloring and water.
I used my Silhouette to cut out these bats last minute and my awesome hubby helped me hang them up.

This spider is another one of my dollar store finds

The party favors!

The party was a huge hit with Aiden and his guests. He was spoiled rotten and had a great time.
After the party Aiden asked if we could have a camp out in the living room. I love that he still wants to have family camp outs. We stayed up late playing with his new toys, eating snacks, and watching TV. We even got to sleep in a little bit!
